1. IRobot Roomba i3+ EVO
The i3+ EVO and its i3 EVO sibling, the i3 EVO are the same robots that differ only in that the i3+ comes with self-emptying features. This makes the i3+ a great choice for people who want an entirely automated, hands-free cleaning experience but don't mind having to empty their dust bin manually as it gets full.
Both robots are adept at removing surface dirt on floors and carpets and are able to maneuver around furniture and other obstacles. iAdapt navigation software creates intelligent maps of your home that help the i3+ EVO to navigate and clean in a manner that maximizes efficiency. However unlike the i7+ and other top-rated robots we test, the i3+ doesn't have any obstacle-avoidance features, so it may get stuck on things such as power cords or socks, and it can have difficulty in navigating through transitions between surfaces, such as from hardwood to rug.
iRobot recommends you clear out areas where the i3+ EVO will vacuum before you use it, which includes getting rid of any toys or clutter it may encounter. It's also a good idea to keep the dustbin and filter clean so they aren't clogged by dirt. If the i3+ EVO's internal bin is filled or the battery is depleted it will return to its docking station and automatically empties its dirt into the station's dust bin and continues cleaning where it began. The i3+ EVO's batteries last for approximately an hour and a half continuous use, and it takes around three hours to recharge.
2. iRobot Roomba i7+
The iRobot i7+ is a top model from iRobot’s flagship line and is packed with the latest technology. It's self-charging, self-navigating and the most crucial feature of all -- it comes with self-emptying bins that eliminate one of the main sources of maintenance for any robot vacuum.
The Roomba i7+ can keep up to 10 floor plans and their names thanks to Imprint Smart Mapping, which lets it map rooms so it can clean them more efficiently. It also integrates with the iRobot Home app to let you schedule cleaning tasks and direct your robot by voice or through the app.
In our tests, the i7+ was quicker and more maneuverable than our second-placed model, the eufy RoboVac G30, and it removed large chunks of pet hair from all surface types including carpeting. best home vacuum cleaner over the eufy, is its self-emptying dustbin that eliminates a major cause of maintenance and reduces the amount of time spent cleaning.
We were also awestruck by the i7+'s compatibility Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant AI services, which we used to instruct the robot to begin, stop or pause its cleaning sessions, move itself around the room and vacuum an area. Connecting the i7+ to these services was easy and straightforward using the iRobot Home app. Once connected to these services, we were able give the i7+ voice commands, such as "Hey Alexa, vacuum the master bedroom." The iRobot Home app also provides options to manage the i7+'s settings and monitoring its performance.
3. Dyson Cyclone V10
This tiny Dyson model is an athletic car in a world of cordless vacuums that feel like minivans and buses. It's powerful enough to replace a stand-up vacuum in the majority of homes, but also small enough to fit on a bookcase or coffee table.
The V10 is powered with a Lithium-ion battery with 7 cells of energy that produces power without fading for 60 minutes. Its advanced whole-machine filter system removes allergens, and then releases cleaner air back into your home. The specially designed head utilizes stiff nylon bristles that penetrate deep into carpets and pick up large dust or crumbs. It has three suction modes to suit the task that is being completed. It can quickly switch between handheld and floor vacuum and vice versa.
This model has a dock which charges the Dyson to 100 percent in 3.5 hours. It also offers easy access to 2 attachments and an wand. This is a huge improvement over older Dysons models, which take a long time to charge and are difficult to store.
The V10's main drawback is its limited run time. Its marketing claims that it has up to 60 minutes of running time are a bit misleading, as CR's testing shows. This is a typical, not an exceptional, time to run a battery-powered cordless vac. That's still enough run time to get rid of the majority of an average-sized house however, it's not enough to get every single area (though the second time around usually will suffice). This model has its own advantages however: it's lighter and more maneuverable than older Dysons cordless models, and its vacuuming ability is noticeable superior on low-pile floor carpet.
4. iRobot Roomba 694"
The 694 is a basic robotic vacuum that's a great choice for those who don't have lots of money to spend on the latest model of robot. It was able to remove the majority of types of debris and sizes in our tests, and frequently went over the same area several times to give an extensive clean. Its flat front design allows it to reach the corners and the edges of walls.
Its intelligent navigation system makes use of iAdapt technology to stay clear of obstacles and guide you through your home. However, it lacks the ability to map that is found in more advanced models, including our top picks, i3+EVO and j7+ Series. 5. Samsung Jet Bot AI+
Samsung is a brand is found on all kinds of home electronics, so it comes as no surprise that they're one of the most reputable robotic vacuum and mop makers. Their Jet Bot AI+ is packed with cutting-edge onboard tech for navigation and obstacles avoidance.
The app offers a variety of options to customize your robotic cleaner, including virtual barriers mopping water levels, behavior customization docking frequency settings and much more. It's easy to comprehend and is user-friendly, which is the case with other Samsung devices.
In robot vacuum cleaners during our tests, the Jet Bot AI+ performed well on hard floors, and it cleaned up 86 percent of dog hair (on carpet). However, it did not do particularly well at avoiding larger objects, like cords and socks which was disappointing. It's also a bit more expensive than some of the other models we tried which could be a deterrent for some buyers.

You can also monitor the vacuum's status and send it to its dock for charging with the press of a single button. The app also lets you to personalize the LED lights on the top of the vacuum using different colors, so you can easily tell which areas it's focused on or where it's gotten stuck.
The app allows you to steer the robot manually, if necessary. My living room rug, for example is darkly colored that could cause trouble for other robots. The HRV 425BL however, continued to move across the border, without notifying the edge. Also, the ability to set up the weekly cleaning schedule is a fantastic time-saving feature.
